Adam Elder – All-National Honor Concert Band

Adam Elder, a baritone player in his fourth year with the corps and a senior euphonium player at Hollidaysburg Area High School was one of only 119 students selected nationwide to participate in the National Association for Music Educators’ (NAfME) All-National Honor Concert Band in Orlando in November, 2019.  Adam is very serious about his music and frequently plays solos in both his school band and the corps.  He plans to study chemical engineering and participate in the marching band at either the University of Pittsburgh or West Virginia University.  Adam is one of four family members involved in the corps.  His father, John, plays mellophone and has played soprano in the past, his older brother, Michael, plays soprano and his mother, Emilee, provides various support, including uniform modifications.  The Elders even park the equipment trailer in the back of their yard and tow it to corps events.  We don’t know what we would do without all of their contributions.  Congratulations to Adam for his tremendous accomplishment.
